MFANTSE AKOM PRACTICES

In 2023, Osaberima Osombo Akongua Bosom Essiamoah-Edu appointed Nana Efua Essiaaba, whose ancient ancestors called her Kyehen, as the Spirit-chosen QueenMother — Akongua Hemaa Essiamoah-Edu.

She is a great-granddaughter of the ancestor who led the Essiamoah-Edu family to Abandze.

Today, she oversees:

  • Shrine affairs
  • Ceremonial protocols
  • Family

Living Spiritual Tradition

Mfantse Akom is the living ancestral spiritual system of the Borbor Mfantse people.

At Tsetse Akom Village, Akom includes:

  • Libation and ancestral invocation
  • Abisa (Divination)
  • Ceremonial feedings and honoring
  • Asafo drumming and Frankaa raising
  • Family spiritual education

We practice Spiritual Guidance Over Fear.

We do not manipulate spirit.
We align with it.

History of the People and Dwomma Township

Around the year 1252, guiding deities including Osaberima Osombo Akongua Bosom Essiamoah-Edu helped lead the Mfantse people into Borbor Mfantse land.

Dwomma (Mumford) became one of the sacred settlements of the Essiamoah-Edu lineage.

Borbor Mfantse Abakosem preserves:

  • Migration history
  • Clan structures
  • A
